Social media provides us an ocean full of opportunities to help us in expanding our business overseas. But it’s not as easy as it sounds. One need to be quite patient and ready to invest a quality of time into it.

•    It is important to know which country has the maximum number or engagement on which particular social media platform.  There are apps like What’sApp , Instagram,  Twitter,  Facebook etc. that are used worldwide but do not have the same number or users in every country . As in some countries, use of local social media sites are preferred more.

•    There should be a direct connection with your potential customers. This is a key factor for the growth of the business.  There should be direct contact with them like some apps provide ,like replying to queries, comments you are mentioned in and even to the criticism assuring them to do better near future. The customers should be asked the reviews about the brand. More suggestions can be taken from the customers by conducting a pole or a short but to the point questionnaire. It should be direct as people do not want to engage much time in answering lengthy surveys. It starts to get boring , so this will help to get maximum people to answer and a clue for the owner that what the clients might want. When the business grows and you can afford it, you should give some kind of  reward to the participants for taking part in the survey. This will increase engagement and customers too. This strategy is used on sites like Myglam etc. The brand recently started a survey and gave free lip colour of a fixed amount to the participants.  Who will deny such great offers? 

•    For more engagement of your website one should use trending hashtags and words which make the particular post come into the view. But that does not mean to stuff the post with that particular word all over. Usage of the words should be done attentively as in some countries usage of certain words are illegal and that will ban your post from their social media sites.

•    Hiring someone from the localities of the particular place can be a great help. But that is only possible if you have a decent amount of capital to invest in here as well. Seeking help from someone from the localities is a great step as they may or we can say they will surely have more ideas to make you reach more and more people and connect with them on a better grounds and this will also help you to respond to the maximum number of people out there.  One can do it by themselves as well but it will lead to less engagement with people. This is simply the matter of capital you have.

•    Advertisement is one of the best ways to make your business come in the focus of the masses. Global stars advertise many brands , but it is not possible for all of us. So what do we do? As per trends nowadays bloggers and advertising ads on sites like YouTube is a great way. This does not cost much and is a great way to advertise locally. In India, this way of advertising is used at maximum level. The youth here uses social media like Instagram and YouTube a lot so brands tend to appoint influencers and known Youtubers.  

Social Media marketing is a boon if one uses all the key points effectively it will lead to a large amount of profit just the right step and dedication and you are all set to grow your business.
