A police fight has been halted against standup comic and performer Vir Das by a Delhi BJP part for apparently using trashing decrees against women and India in a show. Das actually moved a video named ‘I come from two Indias’ by means of electronic media, which was significant for his show at John F Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
“He (Das) says in the video… ‘In India, we love women in the day and attack them around evening time’. These negative statements against women and India are provocative. They were made in the US and affront the image of our country generally. I want police to lead an assessment,” said Aditya Jha, who halted the complaint in the New Delhi region on Tuesday night.
In his response to the reactions to the video, Das conveyed a statement, saying: “The video is a farce about the duality of two very discrete India’s that do different things. Like any nation has light and dull, incredible and evil inside it. Definitely no piece of this is private… “
Senior cops, meanwhile, said no FIR has been selected now.
